England Shipyard, LLC, founded in October of 1996, specializes in the
construction, repair, restoration, and maintenance of both traditional
and modern wooden vessels of any size and vintage. We have the tools
and expertise to build both sawn and steam-bent plank-on-frame, as well
as strip-planked, and cold-molded vessels to 100'+.
Additionally,
we specialize in difficult repairs such as total keel, stem, frame and
transom replacements. We are equipped to service the more common deck,
hull and superstructure repairs that all vessels may occasionally require
as they age or are involved in accidents. We also offer traditional
caulking services for plank-on-frame construction, and both solid and
hollow wood spar construction and repair.
Besides structural repairs, New England Shipyard is fully capable of
producing interior and exterior joiner work to meet your most exacting
requirements. From hatches, combings and grates, to cabinets, lockers,
tables and counter tops, New England Shipyard offers superb craftsmanship
in both solid wood and plywood.
Although wood is our primary focus, New England Shipyard is experienced
in both structural and cosmetic repairs in solid and cored Fiberglass
construction using polyester, vinylester, and epoxy resins in conjunction
with various substrates.
